After reading several different versions, I find myself wondering which person I am. Am I a wicked person or the person that follows God's path? The Godly person walks with God and is wanting a daily relationship with him. For some reason I have found myself leading the life a wicked person. I have not found that desire or delight to meditate on God's word day and night. I find that my thoughts are on the things of this world. I think if I start meditating on God's word maybe I wouldn't be yelling at my kids so much.
Lord Jesus, Please give me a desire to follow after you. Give me a desire to meditate on your word. May that desire and delight in spending time with you overflow into my family life. I want to serve you, Jesus, and to bring up my kids to follow after you. Thank you for your faithfulness to me when I am not following after you.
